With fingers crossed, we were able to avoid any rain for Angelina & Derek's wedding! I think one of my most memorable parts of this wedding, was before we even arrived. Jody called the bride to find out which room she was in at the Westin, and her ring-back was "Going to the Chapel." It was so sweet (her ring-back was something else just a few days prior when we called to discuss the photography schedule.) The song fit her very classic look and overall feel to the day.--Jen & Jody
We had never met Angela and Tom before flying down for their wedding, but that did not stop us from having fun. They were great to photograph and their wedding was gorgeous. The ceremony and reception were held at Rancho Las Lomas (www.rancholaslomas.com), an awesome venue just outside of Newport Beach, CA.
We found out when we arrived that the bride was an actress who had been featured in many commercials and sitcoms, such as Hanna Montana.
Enjoy the photos... Cheers.
You just have to love the vintage feel of the Arctic Club Hotel in Seattle. It is intimate, classic and luxury all wrapped in one. It was a fitting place for Lindsay and Matthew to wed. Jen and I had never met the couple prior to the wedding day and upon arrival we instantly felt blessed to be a part of their big day.
We had great weather to prance around town looking for fun places to take them.
There were a lot of out-of-town guests, so it was nice that they could party all night and not have to drive home, and party they did. The live band was a great addition to the evening and the cake was tasty too...
It is not often that we post photos of us working... but hey, we have fun too!
Can you say hot? Mid 90's on this day and the guys were baking in those black tuxes. That did not stop us from having fun. We went all over the Kirkland waterfront with the couple and bridal party, which was a pretty big feat for the bride as she was shoeless.
We always love photographing at the Woodmark hotel and this time was no different. The sunset was almost as gorgeous as the couple.
Best wishes you too! Jen and Jody
I am always amazing at the amazing eye and ability my wife has in capturing emotion. Take a look at that last photo Jen snapped as the couple kissed while looking out at the sunset. Not the silhouette I took with them holding hands, because that is an easy photo. She handheld her camera in near dark and captured such an amazing moment.... Jen rocks!
Sorry for the late entry, We are getting caught up on our blog after such a busy summer.
What a fun wedding this was. Intimate and cozy was the theme... and the couple is so in love. Jen and I really enjoyed spending the day with them, their family and friends.
The day started out a little crazy as I had to start the day using my backup camera since my main camera was stolen a week or so earlier and my replacement camera was delivered in Seattle the time we started shooting, thank goodness our Associate Photographer Jen ran to our office in Seattle and drove it out to me all the way in Woodinville! Thank you JR.
The ceremony, reception and sunset we all beautiful... I burned my hand trying to light sparklers for the couple's exit, man it was hard shooting with my thumb throbbing, but the show must go on...
Cheers you guys and congrats! Jen and Jody
Too many awesome photos from this wedding... I love the picture of Shelby (Scott's Daughter) making a heart with the sparklers... Her converse and all sticking out... It is so her... Like I said the sunset was beautiful...
