Jen to compete in the 2008 Danskin Triathlon

We just found out Jen's late application for the Triathlon was approved. She has been getting up at 6am to prepare to the competition. The bike and wetsuit are ready. I got approved for a media pass so I will be there to support her and take photos. Wish her luck! Cheers! More Boston Photos.....

So after the Engagement session, Jen and I spent a few hours tromping around the old city. It is such an amazing place with so much history. The first place we went was Fenway park, home of the Red Sox. The team was out of town so we could not get inside the park, but wait, what's this, an open door, hmmm... okay let's go check it out...ummm, I don't think we are supposed to be in here, but hay, what he heck, while we are here we might as well take some photos! As you can see there was also a wedding going on by all the groomsmen standing on top of the dugout. We also went to Paul Reveres house, the market, Acorn street which is the oldest street in the USA or so I was told, Starbucks and Whole Foods. I know, Jen can't go anywhere without coffee and organic produce :-)...

Engagement Session in Boston!

Jen and I had so much fun visiting New York City, Rhode Island and Boston. Saturday we had the pleasure of spending the morning in Boston with Jessica and Tyler. We are photographing their wedding in 2009 and thought it would be great to check out Boston and do some fun photos of them. The temp was 98 degrees and the humidity was probably close to 90%. It was HOT but the couple was such a blast, after the shoot we had lunch together and then Jen and I spent the rest of the afternoon checking out the rest of Boston. I will post some more photos from Boston this evening. Cheers! Jody

7-5-08 Erica & Dan--Mercer Island

Dan and Erica were officially married last September (Jody and I photographed that as well), but last Saturday was their ceremonial wedding. Erica's family beach house was the ceremony site, and a neighbor's house acted as the reception venue. Everything was beautiful! Dan had numerous family and friends from his native country, Australia, and Jody and I noticed how very hospitable and friendly everyone was. We had a wonderful time, and the day just flew by! --Jen & Jody

More photos....and a special thank you to all of the bridal party members, who were more than willing to have fun for the portraits! You all know how much we love it when folks aren't too concerned with getting dirty. We get some of the best photos when people are really into it! And, yes, Jody really did stand on the railing of the dock! As you can see from his photo from his angle, shooting above the subject offers a very dynamic look.

7-4-08 Holly & Jake--Illahee Manor

Holly and Jake were married on the Fourth of July at a very cute, Northwestern-style Bed and Breakfast near Bremerton. The date was set when Holly learned of Jake's leave dates from the Navy, and she managed to plan every element of the wedding in a very short amount of time. Everything went off without a hitch! Oh, and I love this photo I took of Jody during the ceremony. :-) -Jen & Jody
