We fell in love with Nicole and Eric the moment we met them. Jen and I traveled to their hometown in Chelan, WA where the grooms family has a long history in town, to photograph their engagement session. The weather was all to perfect and Chelan offered an amazing backdrop for the session. We were so excited for the big to come that the night before the wedding, we couldn't sleep as we were going through ideas in our heads. More in part 2
Part 2 - The bridal party was enormous with 8 groomsmen and 10 bridesmaids. It is always a challenge to photograph such large groups with creativity, but Nicole and Eric's party was up for it. We kept them busy too... More in Part 3
Part 3 - The ceremony and reception were nothing short of amazing with spectacular colors, a live band and cool decorations.
Although it started to rain just as the ceremony began, the couple stuck to the plan and battled through it.
It was really hard to pick photos for the blog, but all-in-all, I think these show a good representation of how much fun the day was.
Aislinn and Peter grew up in Washington but live in California, so planning there wedding from long distance was a chose to say the least. Jen and I absolutely love photographing at the SODO Park venue in Seattle and the food by Herban Feast is nothing short of amazing. Here are a few of our favorite shots from the wedding. Congrats you guys!
Photographing milestones. That is what we do and our passion. While each wedding we photograph is unique and special in it's own way, Michelle and Bryan's really stood out to us in a personal way. For starters, they are the kind of people you meet, and after five minutes you feel like you've known them your whole life. Super nice and COMPLETELY hilarious. I'm talking SNL funny!
We did two engagement sessions with them prior to the wedding day, both unforgettable on so many levels...from meeting their little dog Bentley to losing Bryan's glasses on a beach (then finding them again), and lots of laughs in between, Jody and I were highly anticipating their wedding day.
Michelle's personality was perfectly summed up in her outrageously unique Luly Yang dress and designer shoes...all glittery with the exception of their red bottoms. I love that Bryan was making a bold statement as well...suspenders and bow ties are BACK!
Both the ceremony and reception were at the Bellevue Westin, and our photo sessions were at numerous downtown Seattle locations.
We might be just as obsessed with Michelle and Bryan as they say they are about us! Jody and I really felt part of their family that night. Michelle's parents both hugged us, thanking us for sharing our talents with them. So sweet! --Jen (and Jody)
The fun thing about photographing other photographer's weddings is they know how to go with the flow and have a good time! Lacy is a portrait and wedding photographer, so of course we felt very humbled that she wanted Jody and I to shoot her wedding.
Lacy and Matt's backyard wedding was incredibly cute. The homemade pies, jars of jam and wildflowers added the perfect touch to her low-key day. Gotta love a dog in a tux, too!
Congratulations, Lacy & Matt!

This was a very classic and elegant wedding in every way possible. From Carly's full-skirted dress to the gorgeous Villa Academy and the wooden boat which brought the couple to their reception, it was all sooooooo pretty. The guests' seating cards were some of the coolest we've ever seen.
I will never forget the unusual weather that day. Partial blue sky, partial rain clouds. The rain started pouring halfway through the boat ride, and all the while Carly was worried about ME--little 'ol ME! She's just sweet like that. :-) I was totally fine (check out the cool boat shot!)
A steel drum band entertained during cocktail hour, and Michael Benson Band rocked the house (as always) for the dancing portion of the evening.
This wedding reminds me of how blessed we are for the constant referrals we receive from our past brides and grooms, many of whom have become our personal friends. Carly came to us by way of Jessica and Tyler (you can look back to see their engagement pics we shot in Boston and wedding we shot here a few years back). There is nothing like showing up to shoot a wedding and already knowing several of the bridesmaids and guests!
